Delegation of Morehead State University at the John Lukacs Institute

On 19 March 2026, staff members of the John Lukacs Institute (JLI) welcomed a delegation from Morehead State University (Kentucky, United States), led by James Masterson, lecturer at Morehead State University, and accompanied by five students. This marked the delegation’s second visit to the JLI, further strengthening the professional ties between the two institutions. At the beginning of the program, Balázs Tárnok, Director for Research at the John Lukacs Institute, welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the Institute’s activities and research areas.

As part of the professional program, Attila Demkó, Head of Research Programme on Strategic Foresight at the JLI, analysed the impact of the Russia–Ukraine war and, in light of current international developments, also addressed the issue of the Iranian conflict. This was followed by a lecture by Csaba Zalai, lecturer at the Department of European Studies, Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies, Ludovika University of Public Service, who spoke on the European Union and Hungary’s EU policy, outlining current economic, foreign policy, and other public policy challenges.

The visit provided an opportunity for professional exchange and for discussing international issues of mutual interest, thereby contributing to the further strengthening of cooperation between the two institutions.
