On September 25, 2025, staff members of the Strategic Defense Research Program at the John Lukacs Institute held a professional discussion with representatives of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore potential avenues of cooperation between the JLI and Egyptian security policy research institutes – including the Armed Forces Strategic Studies Center – in the academic study of current security policy issues. The JLI staff presented their research and professional activities, followed by an exchange of views on prospective opportunities for cooperation in the field of strategic defense studies.
The parties agreed that closer professional ties between Hungarian and Egyptian research institutes could significantly contribute to deepening scientific and professional collaboration between the two countries. The meeting also marked an important step toward strengthening Hungarian–Egyptian bilateral relations and fostering mutual understanding.
