The John Lukacs Institute for Strategy and Politics was represented at CEPSA 2025, the 29th Annual Conference of Central European Political Science Association, held at the University of Warsaw on 18–19 September 2025. This prestigious annual conference brought together scholars from across Central and Eastern Europe to discuss the current challenges of democracy, governance, identity, and foreign policy in the region.
Two of our researchers contributed to the program as speakers. Zoltán Vörös, Senior Research Fellow, delivered a presentation entitled “Détente in EU-China Relations: The Consequences of the 2nd Trump Administration on the EU's Position in the Global Arena”. Balázs Tárnok, Director of Research, spoke on minority rights and the place of European values in today’s era of new challenges. Both lectures generated vivid debate and valuable professional feedback.
Participation in CEPSA 2025 offered the Institute an excellent opportunity to showcase its research, to connect with fellow experts in the field, and to contribute to the academic dialogue on Central and Eastern Europe. The John Lukacs Institute remains committed to engaging in international scholarly debates and to strengthening its presence in leading regional and global research networks.
