On November 21, 2024, the American Studies Research Program of the John Lukacs Institute for Strategy and Politics hosted a background discussion featuring two renowned American scholars: Professor George H. Nash, Senior Fellow at the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal, and Professor Richard Gamble from Hillsdale College. The central theme of the conversation was the current state and future of American conservatism.
In their introductory remarks, Professors Nash and Gamble outlined the challenges that have shaped and continue to influence conservative thought in the United States over the past decades, and shared their perspectives on the potential impact of the 2024 presidential election on the American conservative movement. After their presentations, the event transitioned into a private discussion, where invited guests had the opportunity to ask questions and make comments.
Both Professors Nash and Gamble also participated in the large-scale Churchill 150 Conference on November 22, 2024, and Professor Gamble took part in the John Lukacs Book Launch event on November 25, 2024.
