Workshop on Chinese investment at the John Lukacs Institute for Strategy and Politics

On 23 July 2024, the John Lukacs Institute for Strategy and Politics of the Ludovika University of Public Service organized an event entitled "Aspects of Sino-Hungarian Economic Relations". The workshop brought together experts from Hungary and China to discuss current issues on Chinese investment, such as the relationship between Chinese state involvement and private investment, the role of Chinese investment in the European sustainability strategy, and the problem of investment decisions and local conditions. Representatives from Sunwoda and CATL also participated in the discussion. From the Hungarian side, the participants included the Ludovika University of Public Service, Corvinus University of Budapest, Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and from the Chinese side, colleagues from Sichuan University, Beihang University, Taiyuan University of Technology, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Centre for China and Globalisation.
